The Workforce Development Team cannot always provide centrally the comprehensive range of specialist support staff require. To ensure these gaps are covered, this page provides detailed information on a wide range of opportunities being delivered by external providers.

Science Learning Centre

The Science Learning Centre West Midlands provides a wide range of programmes which will cater for the needs of the complete science workforce. Quality courses are available for technicians, teaching assistants, teachers and subject leaders. These sessions are delivered at satellite venues throughout the West Midlands by a highly skilled course development team able to coordinate and collaborate across a range of complementary initiatives.

NUT CPD Programme

The NUT CPD Programme provides high quality learning opportunities led by independent tutors at low cost. These are open to ALL teachers in England and Wales and include coaching and mentoring, managing classroom behaviour, preparation for a leading role and leading and promoting professional development.

National College for School Leadership

A increasing range of leadership programmes for teachers and senior managers are provided by the National College for School Leadership. These programmes have been developed across the continuum of school leadership and cater for the full range of leadership roles in schools from bursars to consultant leaders.

NAHT Training and Development Programme

The NAHT Training and Development Programme provides opportunities to further develop skills in key leadership areas. All programmes are linked to the National Standards for Headteachers. See www.naht.org.uk.

National Dance Teachers Association
