Delighted pupils and staff at Walsall schools have been praised after results in an important benchmark rose by five per cent. 

Students achieving five or more A* to C grades rose to 64 per cent, according to provisional data.

Pupils in Walsall have continued to improve overall performance in A levels this year.94 % have achieved two or more A levels, with most students achieving three passes.This result continues the improvement that has been seen at Walsall since 2001.
