The health & safety team at Walsall Children's Services - Serco can help you with all aspects of health & safety

We work closely with the council's Safety, Health and Wellbeing (SHAW) team and they take the lead on certain issues including fire, asbestos and occupational health; however all enquiries should, in the first instance be directed to the health & safety team

The health & safety team, in conjunction with their colleagues and partners have developed a range of health & safety policies and guidance, including:

  • • Accident reporting
  • • Care and control
  • • Supporting pupils with medical needs
  • • Moving and handling guidance
  • • Work experience guidance
  • • Schools' safety guide


New and revised policies will be sent to schools when they are produced and will be available on TheWELL; in the meantime, if you require electronic copies of any policy, please contact the team and we will be happy to send you them
