With A Level results in from more than half of Walsall’s secondary schools early indications show improvements made in previous years have continued. There has been a 9% increase in the number of pupils achieving 2 or more A level passes at grades A – E and a 12% increase in the number of pupils achieving 1 or more A level passes at grades A – E. Tony Stainer, Managing Director said: "We are delighted with these results. I’d like to congratulate our young people on their achievements and express my thanks to school staff and parents for their commitment and hard work in supporting them." Significant improvements have been reported from Frank F Harrison, Joseph Leckie, Alumwell, Barr Beacon, Aldridge and Darlaston schools. 100% of pupils at Joseph Leckie, St Francis of Assisi, Aldridge, Queen Mary’s High and Queen Mary’s Grammar schools have achieved at least 1 or more A Level passes at Grades A – E.
